MicroZOTL Preamplifier

4,450.00

With all beta testing and feature enhancements now completed, Linear Tube Audio is excited to launch the new MicroZOTL Preamplifier!

Our fully realized MicroZOTL Preamplifier has been upgraded from 64 volume steps to 100 steps – with the smallest step ¼ the size to ensure precise control at low levels. Additionally, we have upgraded the volume control to ceramic printed circuit boards and are now using OHNO wire to the output to further improve the sonics.

We look forward to sharing the newest addition to the ZOTL family with you. As each amp is built to order, please allow for 10 days to 2 weeks lead time.

After three years of developing the MicroZOTL circuit in our MZ2 and identifying the most significant points for performance upgrades, we've consolidated this knowledge in the MicroZOTL Preamplifier. Fulfilling the needs of any reference two-channel speaker system, the MicroZOTL Preamplifier also brings its abilities as a headphone amplifier to a new level.  Improved soundstage, improved clarity, blacker background and smoother dynamics characterize the sonic improvements. Elimination of turn on and turn off thumps, more inputs, and a new case designed by design firm Fern & Roby, featuring brass touch buttons, LED array volume display, input LEDs, and front and back plates machined from slabs of aluminum, are combined with the improved sonics into a full size preamplifier package.

New features include:
4 single-ended RCA inputs using Cardas connectors
1 single-ended XLR input pair using Neutrik connectors
Volume controlled by stepped attenuator with Dale precision resistors and remote control (now with ceramic PCB)
2 preamp outputs
Headphone output
Tape in/out and Tape  Monitor
Improved power supply with 4X storage, choke isolated Belleson regulator, super low ESR poly-organic capacitors
Balance control - uses software to control channel volume level - audio doesn't go through additional balance pot
Remote control with Apple remote for volume and menus
LED array display with adjustable brightness
Ceramic amplifier circuit board with low dielectric loss
Upgrades to the most significant capacitors in the audio path for wider soundstage
Advanced protection circuit to eliminate speaker turn on/off thumps even in the event of a power outage
NOS 12SN7s and 12AT7s included
Auto-bias using 6V or 12V tubes - jumper selectable
Brightness control for display - 16 levels
Display timeout - 10 seconds turns off, or not - configurable
Home Theater Mode - sets input of choice to fixed volume
Volume levels stored separately at last level for each input
Optional true balance input

ZOTL Features:
3 times tube life and 1/3 the heat output
Ruler flat linear frequency response for accurate reproduction
